Photographing Rebecca and Grant’s engagement session at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on a warm October Saturday afternoon was the highlight of my week. The vibrant colors of the garden served as a stunning backdrop to capture their love and excitement as they embark on this journey together. Rebecca looked radiant in her white dress with an adorable bow on the back, while Grant looked distinguished in his sharp blue suit.
We started in the greenhouse, surrounded by lush greenery. This was a perfect choice as Grant is known for his green thumb and his passion for propagating plants. He shares them with friends and family as gifts!
One of the most charming aspects of this engagement session was the variety of settings we had to work with. The Japanese gardens provided another enchanting location, with its serene atmosphere and exquisite sunlight.
Rebecca and Grant’s decision to change outfits added a delightful dimension to their photos. Rebecca donned a navy Hill House dress, and Grant changed into a relaxed red button-down shirt. With the Rose Garden and the outside of the greenhouse as our canvas, we continued our session.
As we wrapped up this heartwarming engagement session, there was an undeniable sense of anticipation for their upcoming wedding next October ’24 at TJ Tower in downtown Birmingham. My only regret is that Grant couldn’t get their cats harness trained in time to have them at the session. Haha!
